Professional Development Instructor helps you be successful with people

Gregory Lay

Sometimes it’s a toss-up whether computers or people are harder to understand! We offer classes to help you successfully deal with both— and instructor Gregory Lay offers a clue about which is the greater challenge. “No matter how complex computers have become, they aren’t as complicated as people.”

Most of Gregory’s classes deal with learning to work effectively with others. His signature course, Office Politics, deals with politics and communicating with influence.

Gregory says, “Many people feel distanced in their workplace by what they perceive as “dirty politics.” Office Politics offers an awareness of the processes that determine politics and strategies to build relationships that keep political activity honest.”

“Being political doesn’t mean being manipulative, it means knowing how to stand up for ourselves in an appropriate and constructive manner.”

An honors graduate of the University of New Mexico, Gregory is a certified trainer from Xavier University and is certified to teach AchieveGlobal™ and Franklin Covey courses. He also presents leadership, communication, and team building topics for National Seminars, a division of Rockhurst University.
