Enthusiasm in action
Lisa Tannenbaum, BM
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music. Her first experience teaching was in 1977 with guitar lessons for her neighborhood, and she discovered she loved to teach. Her teaching career has been a natural extension of her various creative interests such as jewelry-making. Lisa first began working with digital cameras and in web design in 1998. Lisa has many years of experience in the design and maintenance of websites for small business, making search engine optimization and e-commerce her niche. Both her photography and her websites have earned awards.

Congratulations to Lisa on the recent public appearance of several of her photos. Her photography website, newmexicophotos.com, was recommended in a writeup by New Mexico magazine. Lisa’s photograph was selected for the cover of the Albuquerque Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Official Meeting Planner Guide, seen to the right.
More recently, four of Lisa’s photos were exhibited at the Natural History Museum (through September 6, 2008.) Two of her photos received an honorable mention on the museum’s website. Another photograph was chosen as a winner in Albuquerque Art’s magazine 2008 photography contest.
Lisa is also a published author. She recently co-authored a textbook, Adobe Photoshop Elememts 3.0 Illustrated, from Course Technology.
It's a natural to combine her enthusiasm for these pursuits with her talent for teaching, and students have fun learning with Lisa. Whether she’s explaining how HTML code works or how to manipulate digital images, her enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for her subject energizes the classroom.
